A Card and Some Other Things

I had a really productive crafting weekend, which led to a really lazy Monday (sorry for the lack of post). But anyway, I knocked a few items off my to-do list. And added several more. I’m finding inspiration in more and more unexpected places lately. Like this morning, one of my Facebook friends posted this video, and now I can’t stop thinking about hexaflexagons. I mean first off, how awesome is that word? But secondly, how do I turn that into a card? Stay tuned.

Also, I entered that ornament I made last week into a little contest over at Prudent Baby. It would be AMAZING if you could go here and vote for #16. It’s just one click, no registration or anything, and it would really help me out. Thanks!  (You can vote daily!) Prudent Baby is another great source of inspiration. They post such neat stuff.

So I’ve been thinking. I’d love for this to be a place where I post not just my own crafts, but also the things that inspire me, or you, or whatever. What do you think? I’ll still post plenty of my own stuff, but I’d also love to feature some of my awesome readers. Would you be interested in seeing (or writing) guest posts, or maybe participating in a Linky? Let me know in the comments.

Last but surely not least, I do have a card for you today. It’s one of–count ’em–FIVE that I designed over the weekend.

This will be part of my Glitter Ritz Cards class on Saturday, October 21 from 1-3:30 at MLO. If you’re in the Bay Area you can sign up here. Well, first you have to call the store to set up an account, but then you can sign up online. Convenient!

This is a tough one to photograph thanks to the Shimmer Sheetz. It’s so shiny I kept getting my reflection in the picture! I love the effect though. It’s such a bright, happy card.

Copic colors are YG 01, 07 and 09 and Y35.

  4. Hi this is somewhat of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding knowledge so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!
